After this short but intensive course on ICT for languages I can say that EVERYTHING in the course has been very interesting: from the creation of a blog (I have something in mind related with blogs in class
for next year) to the creation of a wiki (which I had already been thinking about for quite a long time). Everything is useful in the classroom as a new approach to a new way of teaching. The only thing I didn't see as useful in class was geotagging (maybe I didn't have enough time to investigate it).
I found myself in some (not many) technical difficulties which were easily solved thanks to the help of Sonia (the teacher) or by asking in forums. I have also had some personal adversities (will it ever be easy to be a working mother?) which have been solved with the always appreciated help of my husband.
I've got a new way of seeing my classes as more interactive, cooperative, and of course, engaging. I see myself crossing a very long bridge, the "digital" bridge, but now I don't see myself about to cross it but on the way over.

Geographical Features
Here we go with a video!
This is a video to introduce Geographical features to 2nd ESO students. The activity is quite simple: they have to relate photos with names.
I hope you like it!

"Hope is that thing..." Podcast
Here you have a podcast with a poem by Emily Dickinson "Hope is that thing with feathers"to introduce you to poetry in English.
I invite you to look for a poem you like and record it in a podcast. It is really interesting and good practice.

NEW YORK Treasure Hunt
You now have a better idea of this amazing city after reading the book.
If you ever visit New York City in the future, what would you like to see? What monuments would you like to photograph? Would you like to meet people from the Big Apple and see if they have their own dialect? After doing this webquest, you will know a lot about the city that never sleeps before visiting it.
Firstly, you'll have to answer the following questions :
1. What's New York City's nickname?
2. What are the most famous attractions in New York?
3. Give information about the most important museums in this city (for example, MOMA Museum, Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, etc.).
4. Choose at least two tourist tours that you can take around the city and describe their routes.
5.What is the current mayor of New York's name and say a few things about City Hall.
6. How many boroughs are there in New York? What are their names? Can you locate them on a map?
You can find the information you need from the following links:
?
And... the BIG QUESTION is:
"What do you know about New York City after reading the book, doing the treasure hunt and researching about this amazing city?"
Prepare a PREZI presentation to show your classmates what you have learned about New York.

My alter ego.
After thinking for a while who "my alter ego" could be I have at last decided it could be Sir Ken Robinson because I trully believe what he once said in one of his conferences that I attended: "If you're not prepared to be wrong, you'll never come up with anything original". And as far as I am concerned life is just this a big amount of mistakes that make you learn.
Sir Ken Robinson, PhD is an internationally recognized leader in the development of education, creativity and innovation. He is also one of the world’s leading speakers with a profound impact on audiences everywhere.
I invite you to see this presentation summarising his ideas on education:

Me as a teacher.
I consider myself as a "traveller" teacher. I love travelling around the world meeting all kinds of people and listening to them talking about their lives, worlds, families, etc. (although, unfortunately I don't have much time at the moment). I love packing cases, rucksacks and backpacks with everything I need for the trip. And I love "packing" my students' "knowledge rucksacks" with the same enthusiasm as I pack my own suitcases.
